The Janmashtami festival is celebrated around the world. The festival concerns Lord Shri Krishna’s birth in Bhado Krishna Ashtami Vrish Lagan and Rohini Nakshatra. The festival is celebrated all over India as well as around the world at Lord Shri Krishna temples. As the devotees chant the name of “Radha Krishna,”. Srimati Radharani is the pleasure potency (Hladini shakti) of Lord Krishna. Without Shakti, Shaktiman cannot exist. They are inseparable. The Vedas repeatedly declare God to be full of bliss (ananda) and spiritual mellows (rasa).

Five Famous Temples of Lord Shri Krishna in India

  1. Dwarkadhish Temple (Dwarka, Gujarat): The temple of Lord Shri Krishna is situated in Gujarat. This temple is supported by 72 pillars, and the main temple is a 5-story building. According to the Archaeological Survey, the age of this temple is 2,200–2,500. Dwarkadhish Temple, also known as Jagat Mandir, was built in Chalukya style, but the history of the Dwarka Kingdom starts in the Mahabharat era. Devotees have to dip in the Gomti River before going through the Swarg Dwar.
  2. Banke Bihari Temple (Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh): The Banke Bihari Temple is situated in the Indian region of Mathura’s Vrindavan Dham, on Raman Reti. It is among the most venerable and well-known Indian temples. It depicts Banke Bihari as a version of Krishna. It was constructed by Swami Haridas in 1864.
  3. Jagannath Temple (Puri, Odisha): In Puri (Odisha), there is a famous temple of Lord Shri Krishna, which is more than 800 years old. The temple is also famous for “Rath Yatra”. The amazing thing about this temple is that the flag at the top always flies in the opposite direction of the wind.
  4. Prem mandir (Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh): This temple in Vrindavan (Uttar Pradesh) is very Grand. It was constructed by Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj as a temple for Radha Rani and Lord Krishna. The construction was started in January 2001, and it was inaugurated from February 15th to February 17th, 2012.
  5. ISKCON Temple (Mayapur, West Bengal): The Hare Krishna movement, also known as the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), is a Gaudiya Vaishnava Hindu religious group. A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada established it in New York City on July 13, 1966. West Bengal, India’s Mayapur, is home to the organization’s principal headquarters. The Temple of Vedic Planetarium in West Bengal’s Mayapur is the world’s largest temple. Researching and debating Vedic stories of the universe, the Institute of Vedic Cosmology will be housed at the Vedic Planetarium. A tour of some of the cosmic creations will also be provided.
