8 days to 8 months waiting
The eight-day stay aboard the International Space Station by NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore is scheduled to return in February 2025. Everyone is concerned that Sunita could endanger herself during her eight months in orbit after NASA’s announcement. But if we examine what astronauts do, we will see that Sunita is not “trapped” in space at all, even though she is away from her home. In space, the human body experiences numerous modifications. The body is affected in many ways, ranging from muscles to red blood cells. It takes some time to adjust to Earth after leaving microgravity, but this is not a novel threat. For this, astronauts receive intense physical and psychological training.

In what has been a terrible year for the aerospace behemoth, Boeing suffered yet another setback that many believe could have significant effects on the company’s future in space.
A space industry veteran, Todd Harrison, said, “Boeing is going to need to grapple with the consequences of the failure of this mission to achieve its test objectives.”
